April 27, 2015

This has been good but really crazy!!

Tuesday, we had transfers :( We had to go to the church first because there were some things that Sister Palmer had to do on the computer. After that the elders came and picked us up at our apartment and we had to fit Sister Palmer's and Elder Little's stuff in their little Volkswagen! It was fun haha!! Then we drove to Greentree where our stake center is. Then we had transfer meeting, Sister Palmer went to Pen Hills and I got Hermana Landa. She is a Spanish speaking sister. She is from Logan, Utah, she has been out for 7 months and Washington is her second area. She had 1 older brother and 2 younger brothers. She is the first to serve in her family. Tuesday night we had dinner at Ryli's, the girl who moved from Willard,UT. Than we went and saw the Cagnons, we usually aren't able to share a message with them but we did and it was great!!

Wednesday, we had district meeting and than we came back and went and tried some potential investigators and none of them were home or they had moved :( Than we went to a part member family and we were able to share a message with them. The member is the wife and she is less active. Her husband is the investigator and we were just going to pass them off to the home teachers because they weren't really progressing but when we shared the message he seemed interested so hopefully we can help them progress!!  We had a dinner with the Hemmis's. Than we went home and Sister Landa did some language study.

Thursday, we went and saw the Sneberger's that morning. Than we came home and the person who was taking us out after that was already there so we left. (we skipped lunch) We went and saw Opal, she is an active member that is in the health care center because she just had a hip replacement. Than we were going to see Sister Southern who is in the same place but she was asleep. So we just went home and we got to eat a little!! haha. Than we went and tried some people and they weren't home. We had dinner with the conklins!! It was really good, we had tacos!! :) Than we went to the church and Sister Landa did her language study than we had correlation.

Friday, we did our weekly planning than we went and tried some people and we had this potential investigator named Daisy that we tried and her husband said to come back in an hour so we went and saw someone else than we went back and she was there and she came out and said that she wasn't interested :( Darn! That night we went to the Potts for dinner. We went to see a less active member and her husband was there and he answered the door and didn't let us in and it was just awkward!

Saturday. we went to a baptism for a primary girl. She is Tongan and so there were a ton of Tongans there!! It was awesome :) After that we went and saw Sister Southern and we walked in and she was so excited to see us!! She wanted me to hug her so I sat next to her on her bed and she just sat there and hugged me for awhile and then we shared a message with her. She is not doing very good and it is just so sad to see, I started crying because it kinda reminded me of Grandpa and it is just hard to see someone you love not doing good :( Than we went and saw Opal again. Then we went and saw Ryli and it was really good!! We were able to share a message with her and we talked to her about prayer and she loved it :) Than we went to the library and watched some Mormon messages!! We had dinner at the Potts again :) Than we went and tried a lot more potentials and we had no success :( We stopped by a less active and we have never been able to see him and he was there and he came out in his boxers and he said that he wasn't interested anymore :(

Sunday, we had a broadcast thing from Salt Lake. It was a stake conference for the East. It was good :) They talked about families!! Than we went and saw Marie!! And went home and had some lunch than did our studies and then went to dinner at the Potts again :) The Potts are so awesome!!! Than we went home and Sister Landa did her language study!

This week has been stressful because I have to take over and area and the work isn't very good but I was able to just pray to Heavenly Father so much and I know and have so much faith that this week will be so much better!!! So Sister Landa and I get along well!! We both feel that she will probably be six weeks shafted which means she will get transferred this next transfer! There will be 11 new sisters coming in so there is a pretty big chance that I will train! So you decided to redo the deck! That seems like a HUGE job!! You had a lot of birthdays this week!! Hope this next week will be more relaxing!! haha :) Well I am doing good, definitely progressing A LOT :)
I prayer for you guys every day!! I love you to the moon and back :):)

April 20, 2015

Hey Everyone!!!!

This week was sooo good!!! We had some great things happen to us!!!

Tuesday, we had zone training and it was great!! We talked about the role of the Holy Ghost in conversion. It was great!! Then we went to lunch and we had planned to go to Chick Fila' but then they decided to go to the nasty Chinese buffet! It was food right? Haha!! Then we went and saw Sister Southern. She is still in the health care center and not doing very well :( It is so hard to see that.. Then we went and saw Gretchen and we just talked with her for a little while and then played with Jet a little!! That night we went to the Behlings for dinner and it was sooo good!!! They have this swing called the tower of terror where they jump of a platform and it swings back and forth! Brother Behling did it and it was awesome :) Than we had an appointment with one of Bills (our RC) friends that he referred to us. It was an awesome lesson and we were able to pick him up as a investigator!! His name is Andy. So that was great :)

Wednesday, we had an appointment with one of our potential investigators and we showed up at her house and she wasn't there! Darn it! Hopefully we will be able to have a lesson with her!! Her name is Kendra. So we went back home and did some training. Then we had a member come out with us. Her name is Ryli and she is from Willard, UT and she is awesome!!! We went and saw one of the members from our ward, Opal, she is also in the health care center, and we visited with her. We also tried a lot of potentials and they either weren't interested or they weren't home. We also tried some less-actives and we went to this one house and they opened the door and this old guy is sitting in his chair without a shirt on and is really hairy and we told him that we were from the church and he said that they "dropped out of that church awhile ago" haha it was so funny :):) Then we went a tried another less active and to get there we had to go through the woods for like 5 miles and then we came to this sketchy trailer park, not just mobile homes but actual camp trailers that they were living in and we tried to find their house but it didn't exist!! It was funny!! :) Then Ryli took us to get icees!! Then we went to the Halonis for dinner. They are one of the Tongan families in our ward. The food was soooo good!!! We had this chicken that was super good!!

Thursday, we did some training and then went and saw our investigator Nancy. We walked in and she told us that we probably shouldn't talk about God because she was mad at Him because she had no money! We just talked with her and she opened up to us so much and than she started to cry! This lady is a hardcore smoker and swears like a sailor and she was a boxer so we would have never imagined her crying. We were able to talk with her about how the Gospel can bless her with all those things she was struggling with and she said that she would start reading and praying again!!! YAYYY :):) We then went to the library and did mormon.org time. That is where we can go and spend time on the computers. Than we went to the Halonis again because they had bought both of us curling irons because she coupons a ton and she got them for free!! :) Than we had dinner at Chick Fila' because our dinner appointment got canceled! Than we went to visit a new family that just moved into our ward and one of her friends told us to go visit her because she was struggling. They live a HUGE house!! But it was great to talk with her and hopefully she will get better :) Her husband works ALL the time so she is just having a hard time with that..

Friday, we went and saw a less active couple in the morning than we had lunch with another Tongan family and it was really good as well :) Than we just did weekly planning and had dinner with the Wadley's. They are a younger couple and they are super nice!!! It was really good :) We had pulled pork burritos!! YUMMM!!

Saturday, We went and saw Sister Southern again and she was doing a little better but just really out of it :(  We had lunch with the same Tongan family, the Vaea's, they took us to the chinese food buffet! The missionaries have this thing that if you serve in Washington than you have to eat a squid at the buffet and I tried to eat it and I had to spit it out! It was so grose!!!! Sister Palmer ate it.. EWWW! We also saw Opal and Gretchen. Gretchen's dog had puppies and they are soo cute :):) We also went and saw Ryli!!! She is soo nice :) That night we had dinner at the Potts, they sent you the pic, then we went home a did some training. That night we found out that Sister Palmer is getting transferred :( It is so sad, and I am so nervous to take over the area but it will be a great experience :)

Sunday, we had church and than we had lunch and did some training and Sister Palmer packed a little. Than we went to see the Halonis again! We like them..Haha, Sister Palmer just needed to get their information!! Than we had a dinner appointment at the Urbans... They aren't very good at cooking! But it was food! HAHA!! Than we went and saw the Cagnons so Sister Palmer could say goodbye. Than we went home and finished training!! I am done with training!!! YAYYYY!! :):) Than she packed for awhile!

This week has been really great!! I am so excited for the things that are happening in this area! Sister Palmer is going to be a sister training leader!! I am doing sooo good!! I am healthy and doing good :) Whats the dogs name? I am glad that you were able to go on a ride!! I am so glad to here that Tyrel is doing better!! How is John? Man you got to go shooting?? LUCKY :):) That is going to be one of things that I will miss because we aren't suppose to use any weapons.. but I am glad that you got to do that :):) I did get the GPS, thank you so much :):) Hope every one is doing well!!! I love you all so much :):) I am doing great!! Transfers are tomorrow so I will get to meet my new comp! I love you to the moon and back :)

Hey everyone!!!!

This week has been SOOOO good!!!! We worked so hard and things payed off :)

Monday we went shopping and I got some shirts for spring. They have a store here called gabes and they are like ross but cheaper and that is where we went :) That night we had a dinner appointment at the potts house!! That is where we took the picture they sent you :) After that we had a lesson planned with marie and we had a member who took us and we got there and she wasn't there... Arggg! Then we just went home and did our nightly things!!

Tuesday, We went and say a less active and a active member who are in a health care center and we just talked to them for a little while. Then we went to another less actives house and she is moving to Florida (Bradeington!!!) Dont know how to spell it but it is where the Hunsaders live!! We went and helped her pack a little. Then we went to Nancy's our investigators and she was doing good and there her brother walked in and she totally changed towards us and she was kinda making fun of us... But her brother was scary looking and we tried to talk to him about the gospel and he did not like that, he blamed all his problems on God.. After that we went to eat'n park (restaurant) and we had someone feed us there!!! And then we went to marie's and we were able to have a lesson with her.. We were planning on having the drop talk with her, which means that we ask her if she really wants to join our church and if she doesn't we wont go back for awhile, and we had a really big prompting to teach her something else.. We talked with her about eternal families and she said that she would like to be with her family forever!!! It was good :)

Wednesday, we had district meeting and interviews with president Johnson. It was a really good meeting, our district leader talked about how to keep going through hard times on your mission and he talked about conquering homesickness and it was awesome!!! And president also talked about that!!! It was awesome :) In my interview with president we talked about homesickness too, and he just helped realize that everyone goes through that and he was glad that I am doing better!! I am doing much much better!!!!! Then we went to chick fila for lunch with some other missionaries. That night we had a dinner appointment with the Cagnons, a less active family, and it was good we had tacos!! Then we went home and we just sat in our car and talked for a long time and it was really good!!! We understand each other so much more :) That was really good!!!

Thursday, we went and tried a lot of people, former and potential investigators, and then we walked up and down a busy road and talked to people on the street!! It was cool, it has gotten a lot easier to talk to people on the street and I love it so much :):) Then we had a dinner appointment and we had french fry salad, it is where you make your salad and you put french fries right on top of it!! During dinner we had a huge storm!! It was crazy!! Then we went to Sister Hummells again to help her pack!! She had so much for an old lady.. She is a hoarder!!

Friday, we had our weekly planning so we didn't do much, just planned for our week!! Then we had dinner and lesson with Bill. After that we went and saw a less active family that we have never seen before and they are awesome :):) We will go back a lot!!!!

Saturday, we had a member take us to the farthest town of our area and we went and saw a less active that is close to being reactivated!!! So excited :):) Then we went and tried some potentials and none of them were home and then we had a feeling to go see this less active family that is never home so we went there and the wife was there and they haven't been able to see her for a really long time!!! We invited her to come to church and she came!!! YAYYYYYYY!!!! Then we went and was this new lady who moved in she is less active. Her name is Rylie Ann, she is from Willard, UT and she is engaged. She is awesome :):) That night we had a appointment with a former investigator named Mary, and we had a lesson with her and the spirit was sooo strong!!! I asked her if she came to know that these things are true would she be baptized and she said yes!!!!!!!! AWESOME :):) After that we went and saw Gretchen, Less active, and it was fun as always :):)

Sunday, we had ward council and then church. After church they had a baptism for one of the primary boys so we stayed for that. Then we went and saw a couple of the Togan families in our ward!!! I love them so much :):) Then we had a dinner appointments with the Price family and we had a barbecue because it was just a beautiful day and it was warm :):) We played basketball with them and it was sooo fun!!!! :):) Then we went and saw the Cagnons, and they offered us food and we thought that they were meaning to take it home and we said yes then they came out with a big plate of spaghetti and so we ate again!! We had 2 dinners.... WOW was I full!!! HAHA :)

Today, we went and helped sister hummell move, she is leaving tomorrow :( then we went to the store and now emailing :)
