July 11, 2016

Hello family and friends!!

Today I just wanted to flak about how much I know that God loves each
and everyone one of us. He knows us personally and knows exactly what
we need!!! He sent His son to die for us so that we can have someone
to be there for us no matter what, so we can be forgiven of our
mistakes, and so we could have happiness and joy. I know that Christ
lives today and loves us as well. He will literally pick us up and
carry us if needs be. This past week wasn't the easiest for me... I
felt Christ lift me up in times of difficulty and give be comfort and
help. He answers us in different ways than what we expected, but He
will answer us! I know the Atonement is real, today I received a
letter from someone who I love dearly!! They told me how much better
they are doing and what changes they are making to come back to the
fold of God. It makes me so happy when other people use the atonement
and receive blessing from it. It truly is a gift given by God to have
the atonement in our lives. I prayed almost everyday for this person
and my prayers were answered three weeks before I return home. God
works in His timing!!

We did have a great week with great people to teach and talk with.
There are amazing things happening here in State College. We are so
blessed to be here to serve the Lord. Also, we had interviews with
president Johnson this week and it was the best interview I have been
in. I am truly inspired by the Johnsons to live a good and obedient
life so that I will be able to enter back with my loved ones into the
presence of God. I am so grateful that I have the chance to share the
message of the Restoration and of Gods plan. It's true, I know it's
true!!! I love you all and I hope you have a great week!!!

Love,
Sister Wadsworth

Email from Sister Wentzel/July 4, 2016

Hi! I know you don't know me but my name is Sister Wentzel. I am your daughters companion. I wanted to let you know how amazing she is. She is so special. She has helped me to see the world so differently, she really is so good at relating to people, and  she really loves people.

She also is so funny. I am pretty serious and intense but she helped me realize that missionary work can be fun too. She is one of my best companions so far. She and I get along so well.

You have every reason to be so proud of her. She keeps her purpose close to her heart  and she is so dedicated. Since we have been together, I have been able to watch her testimony strengthen so much and she is a powerhouse. She testifies of our Saviour so boldly with everyone she meets. I feel like she is so fearless, and I feel so confident when I am with her. Just know that when she comes home, she is going to be on fire, but really exhausted...her spirit is so willing but her flesh is dying. Mission is so hard, but she has given it everything she has. Even when she is tired or has a headache, she gets up and goes. Then we always find the most amazing people. God truly is happy with her. You can know she will be changed when she goes home.

I love her. And am so glad to serve with her. We begged to stay together, it's not normal for us to stay together apparently, but God does unordinary things :)

July 4, 2016

Hello everyone!!!

Happy Fourth of July!!!! Hope all of you have a great day and are safe
:) Can't believe that it is already July... This week has been yet
another amazing one! I am loving serving in State College, ITS THE
BEST!! There is so many things going on and so many people to teach. I
literally have never been so busy in my mission. It is so different
from all my other areas. I really love it! This past week people from
the branch are finding out that I am going home in a month and all of
them are so surprised! They had no idea that I am going home.. Hahaha
it's awesome :)

So some highlights for this week. First we had a lesson with our new
investigator Eric. One of the members in our branch became friends
with him and shared the gospel and now we are teaching him :) He is so
awesome. He loves coming to church and reading the Book of Mormon. We
taught him the Restoration and he said that almost all his questions
were answered!! He said yes to baptism on August 13!! He is just so
amazing. He has been searching for awhile now and he feels like he has
finally found the right church to be apart of. Member missionary work
is just the best!! :):)

Another highlight is our investigator Jancoba. HE READ THE WHOLE BOOK
OF MORMON IN THREE DAYS! He said that it answered almost all his
questions that he had! He will be baptized on August 13 as well. He
feels as if the Book of Mormon is true and will still continue to pray
and read to know if it is true. The Lord has been blessing us with so
many great people to teach. We are so grateful for Him trusting us
with His children!! Our investigator Chris is doing great as well. He
has had so many spiritual experiences since we have been teaching him
which was only last week. His baptism date is August 6. He is soooo
sincere and truly wants to know what is true and what isn't.

So on Saturday we were driving to a service project that we had and
the member who was driving us got pulled over!! It was pretty funny
and she was so calm! I remember when I got pulled over the times I did
I was so nervous! I was even nervous this time!!! Hahaha. He came up
to my door and when he came back to give the driver a ticket I gave
him a temple invitation to the temple open house for the Philly temple
:) Always going to be a missionary!! It was awesome :) Oh and on
Thursday we went to the doctor for Sister Wentzel to get her arm
checked out. Nothing big, she just has this weird lump on her arm. But
the nurse practitioner who was seeing her saw our nametags and started
talking to us about the gospel. Come to find out that she use to have
missionaries teaching her. Her daughter in law is a member, not active
but her family is very active. We shared the invitation with her as
well. We talked about the Book of Mormon, she has one already but she
promised us that she would start reading it. It was such an awesome
missionary experience :)

Everyday my testimony gets stronger and stronger. I learn something
every single day. I am loving missionary work and I love serving with
Sister Wentzel. We only have 3 weeks left with each other because she
leaves a week before our transfers... These past two transfers have
been some of the best transfers of my mission. I always told myself
that I never wanted to be trunky to go home and Sister Wentzel has for
sure helped me accomplish that goal! I LOVE HER :):) I will never ever
forget the amazing experiences I have had on my mission here in
Pennsylvania. It has been so amazing!!! I still can't believe how fast
time has gone and how much time I have left... Sprint to the finish
line :)

Sister Wadsworth

Hello everyone :)

This week was another great one. Every week just gets busier and
busier. It amazes me how much the Lord blessed us :) Obedience truly
brings blessing. I think I say that a lot but it's so true! Well we
had an amazing week!!!!

Henry got baptized!!! :) The baptism went soooo good, we didn't have
to do anything. All our plans worked very well and the members did
very well. There was 40 people who came and supported him, and there
were 7 non-members as well :) It was so good. At the end Henry bore
his testimony and shared a great experience he had. He came to the
United States 3 years ago and he was in culture shock. He didn't have
a lot of friends but he always felt that someone was there helping him
and comforting him. He said that he didn't know who it was but already
wondered. He said that when he met the sisters he knew that it was God
and Jesus Christ all along. He knows that They love him and love all
of us as well :) It was so amazing. He has such a great testimony
already. I'm so happy for him!! The spirit was there :) Yesterday he
got confirmed and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. We asked him
how he felt afterwards and he said he felt warm inside. It was
awesome!! The Lord is bringing His children back to him!

So last Sunday we were out tracting and if you remember I talked about
the story how we met the guy and we saw him a few times before as
well. His name is Chris and we met with him on Friday. He is so
prepared!! He had three pretty big spiritual experiences that he
shared with us that happened during our lesson. He said yes to be
baptized on August 6!! He is so sincere and wants to know the truth :)
Its amazing! I love having the opportunity to help people come closer
to Christ.

Those were just some of the highlights this week. The work here in
State College is doing very well, the Lord is blessing us so much.
I've never been so busy my entire mission. I love the work so much and
I know that this is His mission!! I know the church is true and I'm so
grateful for it :) I love you all so much!

Last night Sister Wenztel and I were talking about how much we have
grown in the past couple of transfers. It's amazing how much one can
change in this short amount of time. I love the Lord and I am truly
willing to whatever He asks of me. I am nervous and sad to come home
but that is what the Lord wants. He has us serve this amount of time
for a reason. I know that there will be many more great experience now
and in the future. I'm so grateful for the time I have had to grow
closer to my Savior. The atonement is so real which I am indeed
grateful for. These past 18months of my life have been life changing.
It's been amazing to see the transformation the Lord has helped me
make. I am excited to work as hard as I can and have no regrets!!
Missionary work is the best.

Love,
Sister Wadsworth

June 20, 2016

Hello Everyone,

I am staying in State College!!!! Yesss I am sooo excited :):):) I get
to die in a walk area, that has been my dream! I love this area so
much and I didn't want to leave. I'm am so exited to work and just
forget myself. Sister Wentzel and I are staying together!!! We try to
be more obedient, we have been trying to do all we can to become
better and improve our skills.

So, on Friday we were on campus trying to find people who would listen
to us, and Elder Haroldson stopped this guy from China, and his friend
went and spoke to Sister Wentzel. His name was Tim and he said he was
excited to learn more :) but he couldn't come to church because he
would be in Boston this weekend. As they were talking Sister Wentzel
heard Elder Haroldson tell his friend who Jesus Christ is, and then he
went over and spoke to Sister Wentzel. But they had to leave so they
didn't get to talk much. But she did give him a Restoration pamphlet
:)

Later in the bus, I stated talking to this guy from China and he
recognized my name tag and told me that he talked to another
missionary earlier that dad. As we walked off the bus, he said, "Come
get me for church, I live there" he lives in the same apartment
complex as us!!! Wow, it was so fantastic, and guess what...he came to
church and stayed all three hours, and he said he invited his friends,
and they will come next week. What a miracle, he even understood when
we told him that Jesus Christ is our brother, he started to refer to
Jesus as our brother from then on, and he was so excited to hear he
was also a child of God.

So two weeks ago, I spoke to this man from Liberia, and he
said he would come to church but he never left any of his details for
us. So, on Tuesday this week, Sister Wentzel stopped him and he was
like, "I already spoke to someone here and said I would come to
church" so she invited him to come again and as he was leaving, she
asked for his name and told him that will save a space for him. This
Sunday he was also at church!!! And he gave his information so that we
can teach him more!!! Yay! So many blessings.

Last night we had the best experience ever. So in one of the first
weeks Sister Wentzel was here we were waiting for the bus and as we
waited there was this massive party going on, and we tried speaking to
people but they were very intoxicated, so we saw this guy on the other
side of the street, and we shouted at him, asked if he was also going
to the party. He said no, so we invited him to come to church with us.
He said he would. So in that week we met him two more times, but he
never came to church. So last night, as we went tracting, we decided
to go to apartment B, and we felt so good about it. We knocked every
single door and we had no success, as we were waiting outside one
door, we saw a guy passing us. So we greeted him, and he turned around
like he knew us, and then he said we met you before and I recognized
him as the guy who we shouted to before across the street. We had a
much longer conversation and then he said are you doing this next
Sunday, can you come over and teach me? Whoah!!! So amazing. Then we
got his apartment number and phone number. We went home and texted
him, and he asked us what he needed do tonight to get started?
honestly, the Lord is so so good, He loves us so much and He wants us
to find His children who are prepared, He is preparing the hearts of
His children to come unto Him.

Ok, so last but not least.....Henry :):):):):):):)🇨🇳🌊 so he is
getting baptized this weekend. :) We have been in contact with him
every day, and also with the sisters teaching him in New York.
He has gone to church every week, he has met with them, and committed
to live the gospel. He is having his interview this Wednesday, we are
so excited. Teaching him, and watching the Lord change him has been
incredible. He knows God, he loves God. A sister from the branch
bought him a suite!! What a blessing, she said to us, "sisters, I have
something for you in the car," when we got there, I almost cried, she
is so so special and I know that she will be blessed so much for what
she has done.

I know that God answers prayers and He wants us to be successful.
I know Heavenly Father loves us, we are all His children and we are so
grateful to be able to help others see this. God is so good to us :)
I love this mission....I love the people here, and I love sharing this
amazing message of truth with the world. I know it's true! I love you
all to the moon and back :):)

Love,
Sister Wadsworth
