MTC 1/21/2015

Hey, family,
I'm on now for an hour. I am doing so good here at the MTC. So the first day was so crazy!! There was so many things going on... So after you dropped me off I went and got my name tag then I went and got some books that they gave to us. After that we went and dropped my stuff at my residence. You wouldn't believe what Elder was holding the door for me... ELDER ELDRIDGE!!!  (Brandon) It was awesome to see him!! After we dropped off my stuff in my room, we went to my classroom where my whole district was. I had to go watch a video and answer questions for it. I went back to the classroom and met my companion's.. and my district. So I am in a trio companionship. There is Sister Roberts and Sister Misa'alefua (Sister M). Sister Roberts is going to the same mission as me and Sister M is going to Guam.

There are 4 elders in my district and there are 2 going to Guam and 2 going to Pit-PA. One of the elders is from England so he as an awesome accent. After we did some things in class (it was already like 3:00..) we had a meeting with all the new missionaries. The MTC Presidency talked to us, and our group of new missionaries was actually their last one because we got a new presidency. After they talked to us we went to dinner. I had steak, green beans, potatoes and a roll. It was ok but defiantly not a home cooked meal.

After dinner we had people and our purpose. There, we had volunteer investigators. There was a group of missionaries and the investigator was in front of the room and we would ask them questions to get to know them. The first thing to do before teaching an investigator is getting to know them and gaining love for them.  We went to three rooms which all had different investigators in them. It was so awesome to get to know these people and by the end, I loved them and cared for them.

We went back to the classroom and met our zone leaders!!! They are so awesome and fun!!! They are from New Zealand and South Africa (he is not black). We went on a tour of the MTC and learned where things were at. So more about my district. There is Elder Taylor (from England) and Elder Bloxham.. They are a companionship. Then there is Elder Hansen and Elder Foster. After the tour of campus I went back to the residence and unpacked and went to bed. I was soooooo tired!!! But it was such a great day and I felt the spirit so much!

So everyday we have class where we go and learn about a principle and practice it. The first day of class we learned about a PI, which stands for Progressive Investigator which is our teacher usually. So we have to plan a lesson and get to know them so we can teach them. We are teaching Joe, which is our teacher but he doesn't act like him. It is so great to teach and learn about someone and gain that love and care for him.

I have really loved being able to feel the spirit so strongly. I love it so much and it is so helpful with everything I do. So we had a meeting with the branch presidency and they are awesome!!! That night we had interviews to find out who our district leader, zone leader was. Me and my companions are STL's which means sister training leader.

We wake up at 6:00AM and get ready and going to breakfast where we usually have a bagel and cream cheese!! Really good!!! So we are always suppose to be on time to ALL our meetings and we are usually always late because sister m is so worried about her appearance and always checking herself so that takes forever. It is so hard to be in a trio... but I am getting use to it.

I have to missionary purpose memorized and I am learning so much!!! It has been hard but not to hard. I love getting dear elders I usually tear up when I read them. Thank you for sending me cupcakes they were SOOOOOOOOO good!!!! I loved my better than whatever :) Thank you!!

So I hope the $146 toilet paper from cosco feels really good to use!! We have like 1-ply toilet paper but it is better than using a leaf or your hand!! HAHA. I am doing so good and learning so much. I can't wait to get to Pitt. and just start teaching :) Oh by the way we invited Joe to be baptized ( we learned how to invite people to be baptized and say prayer) and he is going to be baptized!!!!!!!!! I know he isn't a "real" investigator but I still consider him one :) But he has said prayer for us, getting baptized, and reading the Book of Mormon. It's great!

I am gaining a great testimony and learning so much!!! I have gotten letters from people of the ward and nana!! I sent you guys a letter but I don't know if you have gotten it..

BTW Sunday's here are CRAZY we had so much leadership training!!! Oh and we got to go to a session today, it was GREAT!!!
So I got my flight thing.. I leave at 3:30 in the morning to go to the airport, then the plane leaves at 7:30AM and go to Detroit so I will get a call card and call you guys then. I sure hope you have service... Then I will fly to Pittsburgh!!!

I want you guys to know that I KNOW this church is true!! And if you guys need to clear something up with the bishop or our Father in Heaven, I encourage you to do so. I have really studied about repentance and you have to be the one to start it and use it. So if you are worried about something, go to the bishop and ask. I know that Joesph Smith is a true prophet and he restored the Gospel. I know the BOM is true, and it is the keystone to our religion!!! Love you guys, I love being a missionary!!!

I will talk to you later and I will try to send some pics but I am running out of time... LOVE YOU!!!

Love, Sister Wadsworth
