Hey family and friends!!

I can't believe it is already May.... Time has flown by so quickly!!

This week has been pretty good :) The weather hasn't been the best, rainy and gloomy. I'd rather have snow... Not saying I want snow but I don't want cloudy and gloomy either. I want the sun :) hahaha

We had a great lesson with our investigator Jacob. He has such a strong desire to know the truth!! He is golden :) He is going back to his home town for the summer... I sure hope that he will continue learning more from the missionaries there and continue to go to church and maybe even invite his family to start going to church and learning more :) That would be so awesome!!! We also had a lesson with Jason. He is doing great. I am still trying to learn how to teach SUPER simple. Honestly it's tuff but it will come over time by studying and praying for help!! :)

Sister Chuah is going back to Temple Square on Wednesday. We are driving to Pittsburgh tomorrow to drop her off at the mission home. There is another Temple Square sister who is coming with us too and her companion (Sister Ewell). Sister Ewell and I will stay the night, and Wednesday afternoon in Butler (My last area!!!). I am so excited I get to go back for a little bit!! It should be fun! On Wednesday there is a new Temple Square sister coming and her, Sister Ewell, and I will be in a trio for 6 days until transfers. I am sad to see Sister Chuah leave, it has been great serving with her!!! She is an amazing missionary :) I will get to see her at temple square in October!!!

Sorry its a bit short this week... I love you all and hope you have a fantastic week!!! Love you to the moon and back!

Love,
Sister Wadsworth

Hey family and friends!!

This week has been so good :) The weather has been super nice and it
helps a lot with finding because there are a lot of people out. It was
a pretty busy week!

Our lesson with Jacob this week so so good!!! Jacob is golden, he has
been reading from the Book of Mormon , praying, and coming to church! He has such a great desire to know the truth. In our lesson we talked about him talking to his family about meeting with us. I never really thought about having to tell my family about the church. It is such a blessing to be able to have parents who are so strong in the gospel
and have raised me in it. Jacob is progressing really well and is such
a great example of diligence and humility. He comes to lessons with
questions and things he wants to know more about. It's so awesome! We are so excited for Jacob and how far he has come.

I am still learning how to teach super simple to those who don't have
a religious background. Yesterday we had lessons with some new
investigators of ours and they have no background in religion and
don't know who God is. It was a little ruff to start but it helped me
realize, again how important it is to let the spirit teach and not to
ignore Him. The spirit is key in conversion and if we don't let Him
guide and direct then who is going to help the person really learn for
themselves? Not me and not my companion. We need the spirit!!! It is
so cool to be able to see someone who has never had a belief in
anything have their eyes open to the gospel. The smile that's on their
face when we tell them how much God and Jesus Christ love them and are there for them all the time is priceless! It reaffirms my testimony of
gods power :) It's amazing!!!!!

On Saturday we had the opportunity to go to our Stake Woman's day. We talked about refugees and doing service for them. It was based on the women's general conference session. It was really good :) We put some stuffed hearts together then we had some workshops. They weren't about refugees, we learned about healthy relationships. They talked a lot about marriage but we were able to apply it to a missionary
companionship. It was really good information!! Healthy relationships
are good. Haha

Times sure is flying by, going too quickly... Sister Chuah is going
back to temple square next Monday. I am sad to say goodbye to her. We have gotten along so well. She has taught me so much by just being a great example. She is so humble and I hope to be able to be like her in that aspect some day. She is truly amazing and I love her so much! I will miss her!!

I am loving it here in state college. The trees are blooming and the
people are booming :) I wouldn't want to be any where else at this
time. Missionary work is the best, I love it soooo much! I am so
grateful for the things I have learned in the past 15 1/2 months here
in Pennsylvania. I have made eternal friendships and have gained a
rock solid testimony. I hope all of you will have a great week! I love
you all so much, to the moon and back!!! Keep on keeping on :)

With love,
Sister Wadsworth

Hey family and friends!!!

This week had been so amazing! A lot of great things are happening and
hearts are definitely being softened. We have a new investigator and
his name is Jason. We met him at forums and he met with us just the
next day!! He has no religious background and his family came from
China not to long ago. We have met with him twice and he is already
opening up with us and asking sincere questions. He even has said the
closing prayer for each lesson we had with him. It amazes me so much
how people who don't even know who God is say such a singer prayer. In each prayer Jason has said he thanks god that he is learning about Him and for the opportunity he has to meet with us. The member who came with us to that lesson got emotional when he roused and after the lesson I talked to her and she was taken back with his prayer. She was shown that we should be grateful to be able to on so God and have a relationship with Him. We take for granite the knowledge that we have. We should be so grateful for what we know!!

We also met with our investigator Jacob. He is so prepared for the
gospel and has such a strong desire to know the truth!! He really
wants to get an answer and is doing all the things necessary to
receive his answer. His prayers are so sincere as well. He says what's
on his heart and asks God sincere questions. He has come to church
ever since he started meeting with the missionaries, which has been
about a month :) He is awesome and teaches me to be sincere in all
that I do and about the importance of recognizing the feelings we
receive from the spirit.

On Saturday we were able to help the branch dwo a highway cleanup
service project. We did a two mile stretch and picked up garbage for
about three ish hours. It was awesome! The weather made it even
better. It has been so warm and sunny! I am going to get so tan :) I
am a little sunburned now but hopefully it will turn into a great tan!
Also, on Saturday there was a scrimmage game here on penn state campus and on game days it's crazy! Everyone is drinking and basically where no clothes... It is definitely a party school! They need the gospel :) haha, but really they do.

I gave a talk in sacrament meeting yesterday. My topic was the general
conference talk given by Sister Oscarson "Do I Believe?" It was a
great talk and I am so grateful that I had the chance to review it and
learn more about it. I was able to reflect on my one personal
experiences I have had coming to believe the truth of the gospel. Do
you believe it? I want to end with a scripture Sister Oscarson
referenced, it's in Mosiah 5 verse 2 it says "And they all cried with
one voice, saying: Yea, we believe all the words which thou hast
spoken unto us; and also, we know of their surety and truth, because
of the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a mighty
change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do
evil, but to do good continually." I invite you to study this talk and
ask for yourself, if you haven't yet, if you truly believe it.

I love you all soooo much! To the moon and back :):) Have a great week.

Love,
Sister Wadsworth

Hey family and friends!!

Wow time sure has gone by so fast. I feel like it was just Monday
yesterday. We were pretty busy this week so it makes it go by pretty
fast. We had interviews with our mission president this week. He is
such an inspired man, I love the Johnsons!! In my interview we talked
about how my testimony is doing. I never thought my testimony would be
this strong. I am so grateful for the things I have learned and
continue learn everyday. He told me that I need to continue to work at
my testimony and nourish it every day. I can't stop studying or
praying everyday when I am home, we all need to continue strengthen
our testimonies every day. Our desires that we have and the goals we
want to accomplish will be based on how much and how hard we work. We
need to work as hard as we can at all times. Never give up and
continue to be faithful in the gospel!!

So this past week we had a dinner appointment at a members house from
the family Ward (I serve in a YSA branch) and they had this hot sauce
that is one of the hottest sauces you can by. It was 9.6million SHU
and I put a tiny drop on my fork and put it on my tongue. I have never
felt such a bad burning sensation before. It felt like my stomach was
a volcano... It was sooooo hot! Another sister did it too and we were
dying. I will never do that again!! It was really hot... Oh and it
snowed this week. The weather here is so temperamental.. It's a lot
like Idaho weather!! Hahaha :)

Here in State College we work with quite a few people who don't have a
belief in God or have a very brief understanding of who God and Christ
are. It has helped me go back to the basics and know the basic
principles of the gospel and how much Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ
love us!!! I know God is there and that Jesus Christ lives! They love
us more than we can even comprehend. We need to let Them help us in
our lives. They are ready to help and bless us all we have to do is
ask for it! This is Christ's church, He is the head of it, and through
Him we can live with our Father in Heaven and our families FOREVER!!!
What a great blessing that is. The atonement is real not just for our
sins and mistakes but for our pains, for our sorrows, and for our
happiness and peace we have in our lives. They love you!

Well I love you all to the moon and back 😊 Have a great week!!

Love,
Sister Wadsworth
