WELCOME HOME SISTER WADSWORTH!!!

August 1, 2016

Hello family and friends!!!

Wow words can't explain how I am feeling right now. It's been the
hardest and the best 18 months of my life. I have learned so much on
my mission. I never thought how much my testimony would grow and how
much closer I would be to our Father in Heaven and to our Savior Jesus
Christ. It's amazing how much one can change in a year and a half. My
testimony has been strengthened. I have seen so many miracles happen
and seen the atonement change lives, mine included. It has been so
amazing to be a missionary and I truly have loved it. I wish I could
serve longer, I just don't want to leave yet... But I know that I have
things to do at home and to move on with my life. This is only just
the beginning :) Thanks for all the support you have given me. I know
that Christ lives, I could not have made it to this point without Him.
My mission wasn't easy but it was totally ALL worth it :):)

This week was so good. Being in a trio was awesome :) We were so busy
all the time and it just went by so quickly. This weekend was amazing
in which I will never forget it! On Saturday Eric was baptized. It was
so amazing :) He was sooo happy and he bore a powerful testimony of
how he can say with confidence that he knows the church is true. The
beginning of this transfer he came to Henry's baptism and that is when
we set up our first appointment with him and now he is a member of the
church and read the Book of Mormon all the way through before his
baptism. What a great experience it was to help teach him and help him
come close to God. God loves him soooo much! He is ready to serve in
the church and to continue to progress more and more in the gospel.
I'm just so happy!!! I think it's a great way to end my mission :) It
was a great week!

Sister Wentzel left on Tuesday... That was pretty hard. I have learned
so much from her and she is one of my best friends!!! I love her so
much :) she is going to crunch it on temple square!!! Also that night
I had my last English class. It was really good. I loved teaching
English! I will miss the people in our class so much! I love them all
:)

Well I will see you very soon... I truly love you sooooo much and I
know that missions will help any who puts their heart, might, mind,
and strength into it. My testimony has bricks rock solid! I love you
all to the moon and back :) See y'all soon!! 😝

Love,
Sister Wadsworth

Hello family and friends!!

How are you all doing? I am doing great!!! It's so weird that I only
have one week left... This past week has been really good :) We are
just trying to work as hard as we possibly can because it mine and
Sister Wentzels last week together... :( Both of us just keep saying
how much we have helped each other these past two transfers. We both
have changed so much! It's been truly remarkable. I am so grateful for
Sister Wentzel, she is so amazing and has taught me so much to be a
better person :):)

This week we met with our former investigator Matthew. The only reason
we dropped him is because he left State College for a while and would
never get back to us but this time he actually reached out to us. He
texted us asking us some questions and asked if we could meet and if
he could come to church. Of course we wanted to meet with him and have
him come to church. He said that the past month he has been really
depressed and had a lot on his mind and wanted to talk about God with
people but they never wanted to and then he remembered us and then
contacted us. He is so awesome :) He really wants to leans more about
God and have a personal relationship with Him. He doesn't have much of
a religious background but knows that God exists and that He loves
him. He texted us after his lesson and thanked us for meeting with him
and how much better he felt :) The Lord knows what we need, He loves
us!!!! He came to church and loved it! :) He will meet with
missionaries and go to church wherever he is!!

Now let's talk about Eric. HE IS SO AMAZING!!!! He will be baptized
this Saturday. What a way to end my mission!!! He basically organized
his baptism and went up to people at church and asked them to do
specific things for his baptism! It was so awesome :) Him and
Jessica(the member who introduced him to the church) fed us dinner
yesterday. He is sooooo sincere :):):):):) We are soooo excited for
him. He is progressing so well and doing amazing things already! He is
so excited to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. So grateful we were able to teach him :) So prepared!!!

This week I have been pondering on my mission and how I have changed
so much. It just amazes me how in 18 months one can become such a
better person. The atonement is so real!! Not just for our mistakes
and sins, it's for EVERYTHING! The good, the bad, and the in between
:) I have learned so much about the atonement of Jesus Christ, and so
much more, but the atonement has helped me get through the hard days
and helped me to feel the happiness of all the good days. I have seen
the Atonement work in other people's lives as well. It's so amazing
:):) I know Christ lives, I know He loves us so much, and I know that
He will be there to help us in EVERY situation!! I am so grateful for
Him and for His great example and sacrifice for all of us :):)

I love you all soooooooo much. I hope you have a fantastic week. This
week I will be in a trio with Sister Ewell and Sister Bowden. Sister
Wentzel will be leaving on Tuesday around 4pm because the transfers
for the temple square mission are a week before us. It should be a
great week but very sad... I'm just so grateful for Sister Wentzel
:):) I love her with all my heart!!

Love,
Sister Wadsworth

Hello family and friends!

Well another week has gone by so quickly! I hit my 18th month mark
this week...... 😷 It's so weird to think that I have been on a
mission for that long. I can't believe how fast time has gone... It
really needs to SLOW DOWN!!! But things are going really good here in
State College, it's been so amazing here and love this area with all
my heart. I have been blessed with amazing areas to serve in :) I am
so grateful that I am finishing my mission here in State College
because it's a walk area and it makes it easier to be diligent and
always getting the chance talk to people wherever you are. Even when
we ride on the bus!

The work is going really well lately and we are seeing a lot of
success. Out investigators are super prepared. Our investigator Eric
went to the sacred grove and to the pageant this weekend and really
really enjoyed it. He had the opportunity to pray in the sacred grove
and he said it was an amazing experience for him! His baptism date
actually got moved up to July 30th so he does it before he takes a
trip back home! What investigator moves their baptism up? It's truly
so amazing :):):) We are so happy for the choices he is making and the
progress he is having!! He just texted is now saying that he talked to
his parents about it and they are supportive of it is what he
wants!!!! We are sooo happy :):):):)

Jancoba, the one who read the Book of Mormon in three days, is doing
amazing as well :) He came to church and stayed for all three hours!!
:) He will be going back to France this Friday to visit family. He
will be baptized when he gets home from his trip to France. He said
that the Book of Mormon is answering all his questions and is asking
us questions to help him and he knows the church is true!!! It's so
amazing how God prepares His children and shows us and them how much
He loves us!

This week at forums we found Mona. She is form China and has been at
penn state for 2 years. She doesn't have a religious background but
has thought about who God is. She said that she would learn some day
and then we said that we could help her learn and teach her and she
said yes! So we met with her two days later and she is so prepared as
well!! She is ready to learn about God and she has been saying prayers
and reading and came to church and she said that she really enjoyed it
:) Baptizing nations!!! 🇨🇳 🇿🇦 🇺🇸 🇳🇱

I can't believe I only have two weeks...  My mission has helped me
become such a better person and has strengthened my testimony soooo
much! I am so grateful for this opportunity I have had to serve a
mission. I am grateful that I still have two weeks to work so hard and
to share the message of the Restoration like crazy! I love you all so
much, to the moon and back!!!! Have a great week :)

Sister Wadsworth

July 11, 2016

Hello family and friends!!

Today I just wanted to flak about how much I know that God loves each
and everyone one of us. He knows us personally and knows exactly what
we need!!! He sent His son to die for us so that we can have someone
to be there for us no matter what, so we can be forgiven of our
mistakes, and so we could have happiness and joy. I know that Christ
lives today and loves us as well. He will literally pick us up and
carry us if needs be. This past week wasn't the easiest for me... I
felt Christ lift me up in times of difficulty and give be comfort and
help. He answers us in different ways than what we expected, but He
will answer us! I know the Atonement is real, today I received a
letter from someone who I love dearly!! They told me how much better
they are doing and what changes they are making to come back to the
fold of God. It makes me so happy when other people use the atonement
and receive blessing from it. It truly is a gift given by God to have
the atonement in our lives. I prayed almost everyday for this person
and my prayers were answered three weeks before I return home. God
works in His timing!!

We did have a great week with great people to teach and talk with.
There are amazing things happening here in State College. We are so
blessed to be here to serve the Lord. Also, we had interviews with
president Johnson this week and it was the best interview I have been
in. I am truly inspired by the Johnsons to live a good and obedient
life so that I will be able to enter back with my loved ones into the
presence of God. I am so grateful that I have the chance to share the
message of the Restoration and of Gods plan. It's true, I know it's
true!!! I love you all and I hope you have a great week!!!

Love,
Sister Wadsworth

Email from Sister Wentzel/July 4, 2016

Hi! I know you don't know me but my name is Sister Wentzel. I am your daughters companion. I wanted to let you know how amazing she is. She is so special. She has helped me to see the world so differently, she really is so good at relating to people, and  she really loves people.

She also is so funny. I am pretty serious and intense but she helped me realize that missionary work can be fun too. She is one of my best companions so far. She and I get along so well.

You have every reason to be so proud of her. She keeps her purpose close to her heart  and she is so dedicated. Since we have been together, I have been able to watch her testimony strengthen so much and she is a powerhouse. She testifies of our Saviour so boldly with everyone she meets. I feel like she is so fearless, and I feel so confident when I am with her. Just know that when she comes home, she is going to be on fire, but really exhausted...her spirit is so willing but her flesh is dying. Mission is so hard, but she has given it everything she has. Even when she is tired or has a headache, she gets up and goes. Then we always find the most amazing people. God truly is happy with her. You can know she will be changed when she goes home.

I love her. And am so glad to serve with her. We begged to stay together, it's not normal for us to stay together apparently, but God does unordinary things :)

July 4, 2016

Hello everyone!!!

Happy Fourth of July!!!! Hope all of you have a great day and are safe
:) Can't believe that it is already July... This week has been yet
another amazing one! I am loving serving in State College, ITS THE
BEST!! There is so many things going on and so many people to teach. I
literally have never been so busy in my mission. It is so different
from all my other areas. I really love it! This past week people from
the branch are finding out that I am going home in a month and all of
them are so surprised! They had no idea that I am going home.. Hahaha
it's awesome :)

So some highlights for this week. First we had a lesson with our new
investigator Eric. One of the members in our branch became friends
with him and shared the gospel and now we are teaching him :) He is so
awesome. He loves coming to church and reading the Book of Mormon. We
taught him the Restoration and he said that almost all his questions
were answered!! He said yes to baptism on August 13!! He is just so
amazing. He has been searching for awhile now and he feels like he has
finally found the right church to be apart of. Member missionary work
is just the best!! :):)

Another highlight is our investigator Jancoba. HE READ THE WHOLE BOOK
OF MORMON IN THREE DAYS! He said that it answered almost all his
questions that he had! He will be baptized on August 13 as well. He
feels as if the Book of Mormon is true and will still continue to pray
and read to know if it is true. The Lord has been blessing us with so
many great people to teach. We are so grateful for Him trusting us
with His children!! Our investigator Chris is doing great as well. He
has had so many spiritual experiences since we have been teaching him
which was only last week. His baptism date is August 6. He is soooo
sincere and truly wants to know what is true and what isn't.

So on Saturday we were driving to a service project that we had and
the member who was driving us got pulled over!! It was pretty funny
and she was so calm! I remember when I got pulled over the times I did
I was so nervous! I was even nervous this time!!! Hahaha. He came up
to my door and when he came back to give the driver a ticket I gave
him a temple invitation to the temple open house for the Philly temple
:) Always going to be a missionary!! It was awesome :) Oh and on
Thursday we went to the doctor for Sister Wentzel to get her arm
checked out. Nothing big, she just has this weird lump on her arm. But
the nurse practitioner who was seeing her saw our nametags and started
talking to us about the gospel. Come to find out that she use to have
missionaries teaching her. Her daughter in law is a member, not active
but her family is very active. We shared the invitation with her as
well. We talked about the Book of Mormon, she has one already but she
promised us that she would start reading it. It was such an awesome
missionary experience :)

Everyday my testimony gets stronger and stronger. I learn something
every single day. I am loving missionary work and I love serving with
Sister Wentzel. We only have 3 weeks left with each other because she
leaves a week before our transfers... These past two transfers have
been some of the best transfers of my mission. I always told myself
that I never wanted to be trunky to go home and Sister Wentzel has for
sure helped me accomplish that goal! I LOVE HER :):) I will never ever
forget the amazing experiences I have had on my mission here in
Pennsylvania. It has been so amazing!!! I still can't believe how fast
time has gone and how much time I have left... Sprint to the finish
line :)

Sister Wadsworth

Hello everyone :)

This week was another great one. Every week just gets busier and
busier. It amazes me how much the Lord blessed us :) Obedience truly
brings blessing. I think I say that a lot but it's so true! Well we
had an amazing week!!!!

Henry got baptized!!! :) The baptism went soooo good, we didn't have
to do anything. All our plans worked very well and the members did
very well. There was 40 people who came and supported him, and there
were 7 non-members as well :) It was so good. At the end Henry bore
his testimony and shared a great experience he had. He came to the
United States 3 years ago and he was in culture shock. He didn't have
a lot of friends but he always felt that someone was there helping him
and comforting him. He said that he didn't know who it was but already
wondered. He said that when he met the sisters he knew that it was God
and Jesus Christ all along. He knows that They love him and love all
of us as well :) It was so amazing. He has such a great testimony
already. I'm so happy for him!! The spirit was there :) Yesterday he
got confirmed and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. We asked him
how he felt afterwards and he said he felt warm inside. It was
awesome!! The Lord is bringing His children back to him!

So last Sunday we were out tracting and if you remember I talked about
the story how we met the guy and we saw him a few times before as
well. His name is Chris and we met with him on Friday. He is so
prepared!! He had three pretty big spiritual experiences that he
shared with us that happened during our lesson. He said yes to be
baptized on August 6!! He is so sincere and wants to know the truth :)
Its amazing! I love having the opportunity to help people come closer
to Christ.

Those were just some of the highlights this week. The work here in
State College is doing very well, the Lord is blessing us so much.
I've never been so busy my entire mission. I love the work so much and
I know that this is His mission!! I know the church is true and I'm so
grateful for it :) I love you all so much!

Last night Sister Wenztel and I were talking about how much we have
grown in the past couple of transfers. It's amazing how much one can
change in this short amount of time. I love the Lord and I am truly
willing to whatever He asks of me. I am nervous and sad to come home
but that is what the Lord wants. He has us serve this amount of time
for a reason. I know that there will be many more great experience now
and in the future. I'm so grateful for the time I have had to grow
closer to my Savior. The atonement is so real which I am indeed
grateful for. These past 18months of my life have been life changing.
It's been amazing to see the transformation the Lord has helped me
make. I am excited to work as hard as I can and have no regrets!!
Missionary work is the best.

Love,
Sister Wadsworth
